Every year, someone books a charter on Valentines Day and I am dumb
enough to think my wife doesn’t care. You guys know I don’t play
favorites but when it comes to flexing some days on the calendar to
accommodate the travel limitations of a good customer, you can count
me in every time! Besides being our continuous commitment to customer
service, we don’t ever want to pass up the opportunity to slay some
yellow tail snapper!
As the charter fleet in the Florida Keys continue to dodge passing
cold fronts, the snapper seem to be abnormally large for this time of
year. Aside from their abnormal girth, the snapper are also in
relatively shallow water on the reef. If you find a weather window
that allows you to get on the reef, don’t miss the opportunity! When
thinking about key factors to remember, find a steady current and you
can never have too much chum!
